This new book by Brian Coman, Harry Oldmeadow and Mons. Frank Marriott, PA, OAM is now in early draft form and is due to be published in October this year (2023). The first edition of some 280 pages will be hand-bound in leather quarters and bookcloth cover.
The new book covers the history of the cathedral from 1897 through to the present day, but also deals with the earlier history of the Diocese of Sandhurst and, in particular, with the Rev. Henry Backhaus, the pioneer goldfields Priest whose keen sense of vision made the subsequent building of the Cathedral possible.
